A big week for Xiaomi fans. The Chinese smartphone major this week unveiled their much-talked Mi Note, the first PC from the company, and dual camera phone Redmi Pro. It will go on sale in China on August 6.
As the device is unpacked this week, it will be the most powerful Redmi device from the company to date, featuring top-end specs that will rival existing flagship smartphones in the market. It comes with dual cameras at the back, a first for Xiaomi and hopefully something that will continue in upcoming devices. The dual camera lenses of this phone are placed one below the other.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro has a 5.5-inch full HD OLED display and 2.5D glass up front. You will get a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the device. The fingerprint sensor is located on the front of the phone and embedded into the home button. The measurements are as follows: 151.5 x 76 x 8.15mm and powered by a large 4050mAh battery. Xiaomi Redmi Pro will run on the deca-core Helio X20 and comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The new addition to the flagship Redmi Series sports is rear dual cameras, a 13MP Sony IMX 258 sensor, a 5MP Samsung camera for simultaneous shooting, and a 5MP wide-angle front camera.
The Chinese company is bringing another two variations of the smartphone – Helio X25 powered models with 3GB RAM + 64GB ROM and 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM. On the connectivity part, Redmi Pro comes with 4G LTE support and two built-in SIM cards, but you could also use one SIM card and insert a micro-SIM card. The company has added one more color option for users asking for gold variations alongside silver and grey.
