We’re living in an era where fridges connect to the internet, and cutlery is Bluetooth-enabled. Technology and sciences are up for grabs ranging from smart stoves to forks and plates that help you manage portion control. Xiaomi is also working enough with its upgraded kitchen appliances.

The company has released a new product for the kitchen and smart home; the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Electric Pressure Cooker. The electronic pressure cooker Xiaomi received the straightforward name Xiaomi Electric Pressure Cooker and supported connecting to a home network via Wi-Fi. The pressure cooker is part of Xiaomi’s product line, managed through a single mobile application, Mijia.

It looks like Xiaomi is on some sort of a launch spree these days. Last week, the company launched the Redmi Note 7, the first smartphone under the now-independent Redmi sub-brand. It seems that the company is also focusing on smart cooking with its Mijia Electric Cooker, which features regular pressure rice cookers.

It has electromagnetic step-less pressure regulation technology and comes with a Korean cast aluminum structure. The cooker is rated for a pressure of 1.7 atmospheres and can reach a maximum temperature of 114 degrees Celsius.  It uses an electromagnetic pressure technology, with a cast aluminum structure produced in Korea, a large OLED screen, and a coating manufactured by Daikin.

The Xiaomi rice cooker will officially go on sale on 16 January in China for the price of 599 Yuan, which translates to Rs 6,300 in Indian currency.
