Xiaomi has put on sale the new SUV Pentium T77 Xiaomi edition which comes with Xiao AI assistant in a 3D hologram, in its Youpin store. It’s the first for Xiaomi as the company had offered a vehicle for sale on Youpin, its third-party sales platform.
This crowdfunding enables people in China to purchase the SUV Pentium T77 Xiaomi edition at a price of 89,800 yuan (€ 11,000 / $ 13,000) after a discount of 3,000 yuan (€ 391 / $ 435).
To avail this discount, interested buyers must make a prepayment of 3,777 yuan (€ 493 / $ 548) on the Xiaomi Youpin platform, then contact the nearest Betsune brand dealer to claim the discount, which makes it more of a reservation entrance payment for the vehicle on offer.
This vehicle is not owned by Xiaomi. Xiaomi has simply added its AI to the vehicle and Betsune has added the revisions and the warranty to it.
Xiaomi has added its Xiao AI which comes incorporated within the dashboard screen. In the form of a hologram, the AI will, through voice activation, help guide the driver and inform them about road conditions, and carry out automation of connected Xiaomi products. The holographic AI comes with a wide variety of sartorial options and can speak in Chinese and a few other dialects derived from the Chinese language.
The color variants of the Xiaomi edition of the SUV are pearl white and yellow, with the option of either an automatic transmission or manual change that the buyer has to choose between.
Equipped with the latest technology, the SUV Pentium T77 contains a pioneer front with a hexagonal front grille, and has the dimensions of 4,525mm x 1,845mm x 1,615mm, with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm and a weight of 1,455kg. Equipped with a 1.2T turbocharged engine, a 6-speed MT gearbox, 143CV maximum power (105kW) and a maximum torque of 204 Nm, the SUV Pentium T77 comes with a powerful engine clocking at 181 km/hr.
The owner of the SUV Pentium T77 has asked for at least 100 interested buyers who have to sign up for it, out of which 81 people have already been booked via Youpin as of now. This offer is valid only till August 29, after which the car is scheduled to be officially available for purchase.
