A few days ago, alongside the Xiaomi Mi 9 and the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, Xiaomi unveiled a new speaker with a display screen, which was being called a “small TV”. Now the Chinese tech giant has not stopped at that and recently released its new Xiaomi QCY T1 true wireless binaural Bluetooth headset. From the looks of their new releases every few days, it appears that Xiaomi has its fingers in every pie. Even though the new headset is called binaural, each of the ear pods separately can connect to two different mobile phones with two ears. This function sort of makes the headsets equivalent to two independent mini Bluetooth headsets. It also supports three connection methods.
The headset uses a Raychem chip, Bluetooth 5.0, HD noise reduction, and IPX4 waterproof technology. As is the case with any Bluetooth headset, this headset too can be paired with mobile phones and other devices. The connection procedure is just like any other Bluetooth device connection; as such, this device connects instantly without having to fuss over its connectivity.
The headset can also be upgraded for binaural calls and supports noise reduction. It features an ambient sound monitoring mode which makes the sound quality better than most of the Bluetooth devices available on the market. It is designed in such a useful way that it fits perfectly into the ear canal, and no amount of strenuous activity can move the headset from its firmly rooted place. A button placed on the outside of the earphone can do the tasks of play/pause, answer/hang up, switching to the previous track, switch the next track, and so on. The built-in audio decoder supports AAC/SBS protocol. The battery is of 380 mAh, and the device itself can run up to 4 hours on a single charge. Xiaomi for this device has fixed the price at 109 yuan or $16 approx.
