At Xiaomi’s Mi Smarter Living 2022, which was concluded last month, the Chinese tech giant launched the Mi 360 Home Security Camera 2K Pro in India. Of late, Xiaomi is trying to spread its branches into smart home solutions, and as such, the company has come up with a few smart products for the home. A few of the products have also been launched in India. The latest addition to the ever-growing smart home devices from Xiaomi is the Mi 360 Home Security Camera which offers 2K resolution.
The new security camera is an upgraded version of the previous ones. As the name suggests, the camera is capable of providing 360-degree surveillance. However, Xiaomi had only indoor surveillance in mind with the 360 Home Security Cam, and as such, the camera does not come with water resistance. Thereby, if any user ends up using the camera for using it outdoors, chances are it will get ruined by water. The security camera from Xiaomi is one of the lightest ones weighing just 400 grams.
One of the issues that users face when it comes to IoT devices is setting up the device. As many users have voiced their concern regarding the setup of the camera, Xiaomi India has officially tweeted the steps to successfully and correctly install the security camera.
The users can choose to either mount the camera on the wall or leave it on a desk standing upright. For mounting the camera on the wall, the users need to drill the wall and secure the base using bolts. Now all the user needs to do is align the camera with the base and twist it to secure it. The users can also simply put the camera on any flat surface, and it will do its job. To insert the microSD card, the users need to press the Mi Home button, and the camera will rotate to reveal the slot for the card. Now to set up the device, the users need to download the Mi Home app and follow procedures to set up the security camera. Now use the pin to reset the device and hold it in place for 3 seconds until the user hears a prompt; from there, the user needs to follow the instructions on the app. Finally, scan the QR code placed beneath the camera to link the device with the app.
