YouTube has announced several alterations since the last September to increase the privacy concern for the kids. U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has already raised several concerns pertaining to this.
The content creators on YouTube have to demarcate whether their content is for the kids or not in other YouTube Studio. The data that will come from anyone who viewed the kids’ content will be labeled as that made for the kids whatever be the age of the user.
A setting for a Studio has been made by the company so that the creators of video can easily differentiate their video. These changes will be available to users globally. A variety of factors will come into play according to FTC like the subject matter of the video, the emphasis on kids’ characters, games, toys, and so on.
A very new audience setting has also been made in YouTube Studio for determining if it is a kids’ content. Machine learning will also be used in this regard to demarcate the content. If there’s any abuse or error, then the b overriding will be determined for the content creators.
There will be limits on the collection of data and some product features shall be restricted or disabled in such regard. There will no longer be personalized ads, comments, notification, live chat, save to playlist, etc.
Any creators around the world have created quality kids’ content for their audiences. They intend to have a more holistic content for the family. YouTube has also participated in the public workshop of FTC and they have submitted their content on COPPA. This way they will be able to offer better offers for kids under 13.
YouTube Kids will also come with signed-in support like smart devices, smart TVs, thereby enabling the fact that YouTube will be providing the best content for families, kids, and everyone alike.
