Most tweets are basically quick to read, but many users want to save certain tweets for future insightful inspections. This led Twitter to receive umpteen requests for the ‘Save for Later’ Bookmarking feature. Well, the good news for all the users is that Twitter is up for justifying their wantonness!
The social media firm finally started developing a tool for bookmarking purposes during its Hack Week activities this year. Jester Shah, the Twitter product manager, officially announced the Bookmarking feature in a tweet. His tweet also contains a quick demo of the model they created in the Hack Week event.
Now, the plan of Twitter is to replace the ‘send via DM’ option with a menu. This menu will host both the ‘send via DM’ and the forthcoming ‘Add to Bookmark’ features. Having said that, it is more likely that the final version will have a more evolved form. Then, users can access the tweets in Bookmarks from a list in Settings.
Furthermore, Shah revealed that users can now like or send tweets to themselves. After the Bookmarking feature comes in, they don’t need to do any of the two.
The new feature will suffice users regarding long tweets as well so that they can go through the contents later at their convenience.
