After taking over Nokia on 18th May 2016, HMD Global released new devices more frequently than the ‘old Nokia.’ The supply of products under this new ownership has significantly improved.
Finally, the company has officially released the much awaited Nokia 7 today at a conference held in Shanghai. Nokia 7 is quite a standout compared to the previous Nokia devices released by HMD global.
The phone’s 7000 series aluminum alloy solid frame is prepared with a diamond cutting process. The 3D corning glass coating on both the front and back surfaces with rounded corners brings a premium, smooth touch feels.
Nokia 7 has a compact design with a 5.2-inch FHD display and 7.9 mm thickness. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the back of the phone.
Nokia 7 runs on Qualcomm Xiao Long 630 eight-core processor that boasts of high performance with low power consumption. It has two RAM variations of 4GB and 6GB, both coming with 64GB storage onboard and a 3000 mAh built-in non-removable battery. The newly launched smartphone will have a dual SIM facility with a dual standby feature. It’ll be running Android 7.1 Nougat, which will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo in the near future.
The smartphone is the first HMD Global device with a Zeiss-certified camera. On the camera front, Nokia 7 comes with a 16 MP rear camera that boasts a Zeiss lens.
The camera of the device supports the dual vision shooting mode. It allows users to simultaneously start the front and rear camera to shoot, making it possible to share the stories both before and behind the lens at the same time.
The wide-angle camera is capable of recording 4K video at 30fps. Nokia OZO audio technology helps you grasp the sound details accurately. The device will be available in two color versions, bright black and warm white.
The two Ram variations of the device, the 4GB version and the 6 GB version of the Nokia 7, are priced at 2499 yuan and 2699 yuan, respectively. Nokia 7 will be officially sold from the company outlets in Jingdong, Suning, and Lynx in China from October 24. So stay tuned.
