While the news of Elon Musk’s Twitter rebranding to X is still fresh in the memories of most tech enthusiasts, the micro-blogging platform has today uncovered a new feature for the blue subscribers. The feature lets paid users hide their verification check marks – allowing them to access exclusive features without drawing too much attention.
Since taking over Twitter in October, Elon Musk has been introducing new features to the platform. Twitter blue subscription is the top of all, followed by the tweet character limit.
X now allows you to hide your Blue checkmark
Likewise, the introduction of gold and silver ticks, reinstating controversial accounts, and many more. But the ability for users to hide their blue checkmark will set a new dawn.
X Now Allows People to Hide Their Blue Checkmark
As we spotted in a tweet by @PopBase Elon Musk-owned X has updated its “About X Blue” paid subscriptions page to allow members to hide the checkmark although it might be visible in some places. The page statement reads:
For this feature to work, X Blue members need to open profile customization in settings and select the option to hide their blue checkmarks. It is our take that since users may now interact with the platform without attracting unwanted notice, this move can result in a rise in blue subscriptions.
Despite the new feature, the pricing of the X Blue subscription remains the same. As we all know the X Blue members have access to a lot of fascinating features among them are the spaces tab, edit posts, half advertisements, extended posts, text formatting, bookmark folders, unique app icons, and Media Studio. Additionally, posts by Blue members are ranked higher.
