Following the release of the Galaxy Z foldable flagship models in August last month, Samsung is expected to unveil its next-generation smartphones, the Galaxy S24 series, next year to succeed this year’s Galaxy S23 series. Just like the exciting models, the upcoming Galaxy S24 series is expected to come in three lineups.
As we await next year’s launch date, a new leak has revealed the Galaxy S24 series model number and fast-charging speed. The details of the smartphones were spotted on China’s 3C certification and shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav. Previously, the Galaxy S24 series was rumored to come with a 5,000mAh battery, 200MP camera, and support for the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC chipset.
Galaxy S24 Series Listed on China’s 3C Certification
As shown in the image shared by the tipster, the forthcoming Galaxy S24 with the model number SM-S9210 will feature 25W fast charging, according to the 3C certification. The Galaxy S24+ with model number SM-S9260 and Galaxy S24 Ultra with model number SM-S9280, on the other hand, will enable 45W and 50W fast charging, respectively.
The 3C listing provides no other specifics except the fast charging information and model number. However, 5G is expected in the three lineups, and there won’t be any upgrades to the Galaxy S24 series‘ charging speed compared to the Galaxy S23 series. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is said not to have a curved screen like its predecessor but rather a flat one.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Expected Specs
Back in July, the Galaxy S24+ US variant was spotted at Geekbench. The listing confirms the device to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC with the codename Pineapple and produces results for the single-core and multi-core tests of 2223 and 6661, respectively.
Additionally, the benchmark listing also reveals that the smartphone will have 8GB of RAM.
Meanwhile, according to earlier information provided by tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will have dimensions of 162.3 x 79 x 8.6 mm. The device will also have a 200 MP primary camera and may likely have a 10 MP periscope lens on the rear and a 50 MP telephoto camera up front.
Whereas, another leak also suggested that the upcoming Galaxy S24 is anticipated to make its debut in various markets with either the Exynos 2400 SoC or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The Galaxy S24 Ultra could have up to 1TB of internal storage, while the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ could only fit 512GB at most.
Given all the speculation, the Galaxy S24 series is to make its official debut in the first quarter of next year, probably in January 2024. Thus, stay connected with TechGenyz for more updates on the next-generation smartphone.
