CD Projekt released the 4K gameplay footage of Cyberpunk 2077, making the previously selectively shown video public. CD Projekt Red, the same Poland-based game publisher that had developed The Witcher, had first streamed the demo for its upcoming sci-fi open-world video game live on the studio’s Twitch channel and it was much talked about after being unveiled to the press at E3 2018. The entire 48 minutes gameplay video is available on YouTube now on the game’s own channel, Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 will also be a role-playing game, just like The Witcher 3 in 2015, which stood as a landmark in the process of establishing CD Projekt as well as its Projekt Red game developers in the open-world game community.
Now Cyberpunk 2077 comes as an action-packed and story-driven RPG, which will be published for Microsoft Windows, PS4, and Xbox One. It has been adapted from Cyberpunk 2020 and is set for dystopian Night City, California. The game is played in first-person POV, with gamers taking on the role of the female protagonist V, which is in contrast with The Witcher’s third-person perspective.
The gameplay footage is marked by a lot of shooting and combat, with a “work in progress” watermark within the frame. This is a reminder of the fact that there is yet no word of a release date for Cyberpunk 2077. Game director Adam Badowski said that the video was released upon public demand. He included that “this is probably not the same game you’ll see on your screen when we launch.” “This is how Cyberpunk 2077 looks today. Let us know what you think,” he adds.
