Huawei has just given another subtle blow to its US rival Apple in China: As Red will no longer be exclusive to the iPhone. This is what the Chinese firm and second most massive manufacturer of cell phones in the world would be launching to counter with two new colour variants of “Fragrant Red” and “Comet Blue” version of its flagship device, the Mate 20 Pro in China.
Although the version has not been confirmed by Huawei, in several specialized local sites, it has begun to leak renders of the Mate 20 Pro in red, and it is specified that this version is in commemoration of the Chinese New Year, which is celebrated on February 5 and is possibly the date for this version to be officially revealed.
The commemorative editions would also include a Comet Blue colour version for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, which would be added along with the Fragrant Red to the five colours already available for the house’s maximum phone: bright black, emerald green, sapphire blue, pink Cherry and Aurora.
It is unknown if the new colours will be available in any other country, including India, But it is expected to be likely exclusive to China.
These new colours are the only differences between the commemorative editions of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro because the specifications of the phones will remain the same as the existing line. The device includes its powerful QHD+ AMOLED screen of 6.39-inches, and its triple rear camera of 40 + 20 + 8 megapixels. The software part is to pack a powerful Kirin 980 processor and EMUI 9.0 operating system based on Android 9 Pie and that attractive 4200 mAh battery with 40 Watt SuperCharge fast charging technology.
