Huawei EMUI official Weibo announced that 9 models will be upgraded to EMUI 9.0 on November 10th. The models might seem a little different to other Android phones after the upgrade bringing its share of pros, cons and sometimes oddities.
The nine models enlisted to upgrade are; P20, P20 Pro, Mate RS Porsche Design, Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10 Porsche Design, Glory 10, Glory V10 and Glory Play.
The new EMUI 9.0 system is based on the new Android 9.0 deep development, it has a smooth performance. The update also brings proprietary features from the brand like new SmartCare AI learning, Password Vault, GPU Turbo 2.0 and others. The GPU Turbo 2.0 brings along support for heavy gaming titles like Vainglory, Arena of Valor, Rules of Survival, and NBA 2K18.
The new update will bring local language support, local calendar, and deeper integration of Paytm, among others for Indian users. In order to get your phone upgraded go to the member service app tap on service and then select on to ‘upgrade early adoption’. Huawei claims that the new upgraded EMUI 9.0 has a 51% faster response time than the Huawei Mate 10 (EMUI 8.0) application, and the system application startup time is reduced by up to 51%, and the smoothness during use is increased by 42%.
Huawei EMUI 9.0 also brings along computer mode version 2.0, through Miracast to achieve wireless heterogeneous projection, mobile phone taking seconds to change into PC, one-click screen capture and many more.
