Airbus Reveals Maveric Project, the Environment Sustainable Aircraft

Airbus finally reveals its Maveric project as it puts the test flight for a video demonstration. This 2m long and 3m wide autonomous aircraft is nothing like the traditional flights and intends to shock the upcoming generation with its uber-cool look and technology. It comes with the implementation of Airbus’ only vision and mission of effacing carbon footprints from the world.

With the human-induced Carbon emission at a rate of 2% by the aviation industry, Airbus’s motto was to introduce environment-friendly aircraft that not only focused on the idea of obliterating carbon-emitting air travel industry theoretically but also implementing it for a lesser carbon infiltrated environment.

The immense amount of carbon emission has a hazardous impact on our environment and can also risk a smoother travel ride with the destruction of our stratosphere. Airbus thus had always endeavored to infuse a balance between social, economic, and environmental commitment.

Since the beginning of Airbus almost 50 years ago, it has strived and succeeded in reducing 805 fuel and CO2 emissions and 75% noise reduction. Airbus targeted a carbon-neutral growth saving 10 billion tons of CO2 since 1990.

They also focused on optimizing aircraft operations and sought the recyclable aviation industry. Since 2005 it has been focusing on dismantling aircraft and reusing them and safely disposing of the non-recyclable parts.

Talking of the Maveric project, project co-leader Adrien Berard wrote, “At Airbus, we understand society expects more from us to improve the environmental performance of our aircraft.

MAVERIC’s blended wing body configuration is a potential game-changer in this respect, and we’re keen to push the technology to the limit.” He mentions that there will be further development in this aircraft with the assembling of propulsion systems. It might be integrated for commercial use and ‘comfortable cabin layout, enabling passengers to benefit from additional legroom and larger aisles for more personal comfort.’

Keeping the future generation in mind, Airbus’ CEO GUILLAUME FAURY and team intended to seek a robust approach by building sustainable aircraft. Project Meveric is one such goal that demonstrates Airbus’ vision of a safe environment.
