Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was successful with its first Mars mission back in November 2013. Chandrayaan was a milestone and a huge step forward for both India and ISRO. The successful launch of the Chandrayaan was applauded by scientists and leaders all over the world. Coming to Bollywood, it has made a number of biopics in the last two years, and almost all of them have been a massive box office successes.

From Nitesh Tiwari’s Dangal to Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju, the biopics have won the hearts of both audience and critics alike. It was only a matter of time, before Akshay Kumar stepped into this current Bollywood trend, and just before the launch of Chandrayaan 2, Akshay Kumar has released a teaser trailer of his upcoming movie, Mission Mangal, loosely based on the events that followed the launch of the Chandrayaan.

The 45 seconds teaser somewhat captures the essence of the film and keeps the onlooker invested in it till the very last second. The story of the flight of the Chandrayaan is definitely awe-inspiring, and the cost of the mission was actually less than that of Gravity, an Alfonso Cuaron movie starring Sandra Bullock. In Mission Mangal, Akshay Kumar plays the role of Rakesh Dhawan, and Vidya Balan plays the role of Tara Shinde.

The movie is Jagan Shakti. The movie is indeed a star-studded one as many other A-lister actors such as Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, and Sharman Joshi are acting in this movie. The YouTube trailer already has over 5.8 million views in just two days, and the trailer has been able to attract positive comments from the audience.

Needless to say, people are already hoping a lot from this movie, and the movie will be released on Independence day, it would not lack even a little in patriotic zeal. Mission Mangal is going to be the first of its kind as Bollywood has not made a movie like this before, as far as I am concerned.
