Angry Birds became a great phenomenon a few years ago; however, it is undeniable that its popularity has decreased considerably. Therefore, Rovio and Resolution Games planned the return of the series with Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs, the title that opens today.
The companies decided to take advantage of virtual reality to provide a unique gaming experience. Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs is available for PC via Steam and is currently compatible with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
The title has immersive 3D environments and retains the mechanical characteristics of past deliveries. So, the goal is to knock down as many of the peculiar green pigs at various levels and get the best possible score.
The dynamics of Angry Birds were always it’s strong: a casual, very fast game with an easy goal to achieve (at least one star of the three possible on each screen) but difficult to master throughout its many levels. After 16 consecutive titles – Angry Birds Star Wars included – and going through all the unimaginable formats, Angry Birds comes to VR with the same purpose: invest hours of your life destroying pig castles and experience it in immersive VR.
Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs offers a series of 50 levels with different difficulty settings. The levels are set in different locations, ranging from beaches and islands to snowy mountains. Below you can see Its launch trailer:
