The iPhone has been the epitome of all smartphones. iPhone X is the first iOS device to feature a 3D facial identifying system, and it has planned to equip the same feature on other upcoming devices as well, according to some reports.

Recent news from Korea says that Apple has just inked a deal with LG Innotek for the iPhone X signature feature. Apple is in need of a stable 3D sensing module for its iPhones and iPads that are to be launched this year. The supply issue of the face ID has delayed the launch of the iPhone X. The problem has been fixed by Apple suppliers, which have significantly increased the iPhone X productions in recent months, as the estimated shipping kept dropping for already sold-out iPhone X.

A couple of weeks ago, Apple signed a deal of $390 million with US-based Finisar, which signaled that the company had secured its Face ID parts supply. In Korea, Apple has done the same negotiation with LG’s Innotek group to build additional facilities for the mobile camera module, and it will invest $821 million. Though Apple has offered an upfront payment, LG has said nothing about its financial investment. It was more surprising to find the meeting of Tim Cook, Apple CEO and Park Jongseok, LG Innotek CEO in November as Cook seldom participates in talks with parts suppliers.

The next three iPhone X models are rumored to have the same signature design as the iPhone X. The iPads are also expected to have the same feature, which concludes that Apple will need a lot of supplies.
