In 2017, there were three successive launches of Apple’s iPhone and the most notable was iPhone X. The customers who got flowed with the new iPhone X’s facial recognition and edge-to-edge screen also had to turn it off because of the high price tag $999. Apple thus considered this issue and is working to launch a low-cost iPhone this year with some of the best features of the iPhone X.
As reported the lower-cost iPhone will have the same facial recognition sensor as the iPhone X with an edge-to-edge 6.1-inch LCD screen and no home button with an aluminum frame and glass back cover. It is predicted that the device is expected to cost between $700 and $800 which is less than iPhone X but more than iPhone 8 models.
There are also certain downsides with the new cheap iPhone X. It is expected that the phone is equipped with a single-lens rear camera, it is even believed to have an LCD screen than OLED screen which is found in the iPhone X. it even removed the Force Touch, into a touch-fit to save the costs of the phone.
Besides, Apple is also working on a higher specification iPhone X with better components. Apple is also reported to launch a ‘plus’ version of the iPhone X featuring 6.5-inch OLED screen which can even cost higher.
