Last week had gone a long way in the Indian tech sphere as Apple CEO Tim Cook officially unveiled the company’s first and second stores in the country – Apple BKC in Mumbai and Delhi’s Saket respectively. At the launch event, Cook noted the energy, creativity, and passion in Mumbai are incredible.
Following the official opening of the India stores, today the American tech giant said it will be opening its second store in China named Apple MixC Shenzhen. Apple disclosed this via a blog post noting that Apple MixC Shenzhen opens Friday, April 28, in China.
As far back as 2012 the first Apple Store in China was opened named Apple Holiday Plaza Shenzhen. Since then the store has been welcoming over 22 million visitors in Shenzhen. Now, the tech giant is set to open its second store in the country.
“At Apple, we’re constantly innovating to deliver the best possible experience for our customers, and our incredible team members in Shenzhen can’t wait to welcome them when doors open on Friday.”

According to the firm, the new store will serve as an accessible and inclusive space for Apple team members to bring the best of Apple together for the local community. Also, the new store features a Padang Light stone floor and a timber veneer-clad wall – sustainably and locally sourced within China – that maximizes visibility within the store.
Apple said customers will find Apple MixC Shenzhen to be a stimulating place to study, create, and be inspired. The programming at Apple today will take place in a roundtable setting for a more individualized experience, enabling users to pursue their passions and the goods they adore in greater depth. Apple-led seminars in the areas of photography, videography, art and design, music, and code will be included in the programming.
Meanwhile, Apple added that the new store has over 150 highly trained retail team members who collectively speak 10 languages, including Chinese, Cantonese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, and sign language. The store team will welcome its first customers on Friday, April 28, at 10 a.m. local time.
