The US Patent and Trademark Office published a new patent filed by Apple that showcases the new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro with a hinge system that supports a floating iPad angle. Furthermore, future iMac will come with a twist. Apple teased the concept of a hidden handle built-into the back of an iMac so that the users have no trouble carrying it from one room to the next.

The new iPad accessory is being called the Magic Keyboard for the new iPad Pro. The patent that was released is just a utility patent and not the conventional design patent, as such it will explain what the final product will deliver, and it does not have to match the end design that Apple will end up releasing. The hinge system is dependent on magnets positioned on the backside of the iPad Pro. The hinge will be set atop the keyboard, and the iPad will be placed within this, and the iPad will not touch the keyboard giving it the ‘levitating’ illusion.

The hinge system will allow the iPad to be positioned in various different positions and the user will be able to adjust it. In the future, Apple may decide to cover the USB-C port built-into the hinge system for pass-through charging and so forth.

The Magic keyboard accessory patent application comes with another patent applied by Apple. Most likely, the future iMac will come with a new handle built-into the backside of it making it easier for the user to carry it from a room to another. The hinge system, according to Apple, may transition from a stored configuration to a deployed configuration.

The patent application 20200097050 that was published today by the U.S. Patent Office was filed back in the first quarter of 2019, and the patent mostly focuses on the Magic Keyboard.
