Ming-Chi Kuo, the renowned Apple analyst at TF International Securities has pointed out today that the American tech giant, Apple should rename its A16 processor to A16 Pro and A15 so that it can help the firm to stay at 3nm for the next few years, and maintaining a critical marketing strategy.

The TF International Securities analyst disclosed this today in its latest market survey shared via its official Twitter page. According to Ming-Chi Kuo Apple should name the A16 processor as A16 Pro and A15 used in the two iPhone 14 standard models as A16/A15 Plus.

He asserted that naming the A16 processors as A16 Pro and A15 will help the mobile brand promote the two new iPhone 14 standard models.

At the same time, Ming-Chi Kuo further observed that Apple should also rename the advanced nodes adopted by the processors. That is the A16 Pro/A16 made by the N4 Pro/N4 Plus, as this will help the brand stay at 3nm for the next few years in the mobile industry.

Accordingly, Ming-Chi Kuo sustains these stands on the basis that if Apple starts naming its advanced nodes it may be critical for marketing. Therefore, for the firm to be at the apex level in the mobile industry and maintain its standard it should consider renaming its processors.

Earlier this week, the mobile giant unveiled its latest iPhone 14 series. The devices used the A16 chip, where the Geekbench results show that the A16 Bionic chip performs 10% faster in a single core compared to its previous model, while there’s practically no difference with the multi-core part.

Before the official launch, Ming-Chi Kuo had earlier predicted that the new iPhone 14 series will continue to use the A16 chip because TSMC’s silicon processes 3-nanometer and 4-nanometer fabs will not be available for mass production until 2023.
