Avatar Chat and Mimesis for Magic Leap One and Spatial for the HoloLens, all of these were introduced to the market within the last few months. The abundance of such communication tools for augmented reality can mean only one thing: that the world of technology is all set to experience a mini-boom of such tools for augmented reality. Even though these tools and apps have existed for some time, they were isolated from one another one way or the other.

Arvizo, a Canadian startup, announced an update for their Mixed Reality Studio collaboration. The collaboration voices and brings to everyone’s attention the isolation of such tools. The update was also rolled out, keeping in mind its limitation of it. The update makes it possible for a remotely activated collaboration between the HoloLens and the Magic Leap One at the same time. This overlapping of HoloLens and the Magic Leap One can also be achieved using VR headsets.

The updated version 3.0 will be released at the end of January. Arvizo’s software was designed for enterprises in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry, energy, and mining, and the software also supports formats from Revit, LiDAR systems, and most popular computer-aided drafting (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) platforms. It is popular among many platforms because the software allows multiple users to view complex 3D models and point clouds.

Customers require a flexible platform that offers a common experience across multiple types of augmented, mixed and virtual reality devices. We’re excited to announce that MR Studio supports an expanding number of AR, VR and MR devices for cross-platform, multi-user, collaborative experiences – Jonathan Reeves, CEO, Arvizio

Along with the launch, Arvizio will offer a “Mixed Reality Innovators Pack.” This pack includes the MR studio software and supports up to five devices. The whole experience will be demonstrated at the Ontario Pavilion of Mobile World Congress Barcelona, scheduled to take place from February 25 through to February 28.
