While augmented and virtual reality is inspiring gamers and enterprises, there is a new initiative that’s covering social welfare. Gamers Gift, a nonprofit enterprise, is bringing VR to assisted living facilities and hospitals.
Co-founder and CEO Dillon Hill of Gamers Gift said that he wasn’t satisfied with more conventional volunteering prospects. Rather, providing opportunities to patients to try out VR for the first time is more rejuvenating for them.
People at these facilities are enjoying numerous pop cultures, as in the likes of Star Wars, through VR. Patients get to see a whole new world that boosts their mental health, which in turn optimistically affects their cure. As for passionate donors, you can log on to Twitch, view the Gamers Gift channel, and donate.
