Today, the Taiwanese multinational technology company ASUS has revealed that it is set to unveil new smartphones in the Indian market come February 15, the ROG Phone 5s and the ROG Phone 5S Pro.
Recall that in July 2020, the smartphone giant unveiled the ROG Phone 3 and quickly upgraded to the ROG Phone 5 model in 2021 without ROG Phone 4; although there are a number of different versions of the ROG Phone 5, the standard ROG Phone 5, the ROG Phone 5 Pro and the Ultimate ROG Phone 5.
Now, the company has announced February 15 for the ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro India launch date, described as ‘One Weapon to Rule Them All’ via its official website. Equally, Geekbench and HTML5 benchmarking scores have appeared for a new Asus device thought to be the next ROG Phone.
The duo upcoming Asus phones are expected to come with a 6.78-inch Full HD+ E4 AMOLED display with 2448 1080 pixel resolution, 20.4:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, and 300Hz touch sampling rate. The ROG Phone 5s Pro also boasts an RGB light inside the ROG logo and a ROG Vision Color back display.
An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor and Adreno 660 GPU power both of these smartphones. The ROG Phone 5s series devices retail in up to 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS3.1 storage.
Both devices have a triple-rear camera configuration and LED flash in terms of optics. The primary cameras on these devices are Sony IMX686 sensors with 13MP ultra-wide-angle lenses (125-degree field of view) and 5MP macro sensors. These phones have 24MP front cameras for selfies.
In terms of battery capacity, the smartphone featured 6,000mAh battery modules in the ROG Phone 5s series devices that support 65W HyperCharge fast charging. Ultrasonic AirTrigger sensors and grip press detection are also included in these handsets. Phantom Black and Aurora White are the two color options for the ROG 5s series devices.
Several reports from foreign media have suggested that the upcoming device is built with a Glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus), glass back (Gorilla Glass 3), aluminum frame and equipped with a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, a 172.8 x 77.3 x 9.9 mm (6.80 x 3.04 x 0.39 in) body dimensions, and 238 g (8.40 oz) weight.
