Asus is preparing the launch of ZenFone 6, and the Taiwanese company has joined the trend to confirm certain key features before launch. Yes, the first details of the Asus ZenFone 6 do not paint anything bad, and it will be a really powerful device thanks to the Snapdragon 855.
It’s been 5 years, and Asus is ready to replace the ZenFone 6 with a device that wants to be among the best of 2019, at least as far as power is concerned. The first rumors about the Asus ZenFone 6 pointed to the triple camera and infinite screen design. It seems that only one of those guessed right, since some details, have been given since Asus, in a very curious way, and there is no mention of the triple camera.
The presentation of the Asus ZenFone 6 is set for May 16, but as with the case with all mobile leaks before launch, the Zenfone 6 has leaked online by popular mobile leaked Evan Blass on Twitter.
The main sensor would be 48 megapixels, a very generous amount that has become fashionable among manufacturers in different ranges. For example, the 48 megapixels of the Xiaomi Mi 9, the Redmi Note 7 and the Honor View 20. It would have a secondary sensor of 13 megapixels, although we do not know if it will be a telephoto or a wide-angle camera.
On the other hand, this message in Morse points to a large battery of 5,000 mAh. The massive battery we have seen in devices such as the Huawei Mate 20X, which allowed us to reach up to two days of autonomy despite its large 7.2” screen. Of course, these deciphered features of the Morse code message must be confirmed in the presentation event.
What is confirmed, at least in a more official way, is the processor. And, in the promotional image of Asus for the presentation event, the Snapdragon 855 as ZenFone 6 processor mention is seen. In addition, this image lets us see that the device will have a notification LED in what looks like a top frame with tiny size and headphone port.
The Asus ZenFone 6 aims at the medium-premium or high-end range. The device will be presented the same week as two of the most anticipated phones of 2019, the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro.
