SuperBowl LIII is well underway with an exhibition of some fantastic, championship-level play. And to add to all the excitement associated with this year’s SuperBowl, Marvel took to the event to launch the latest trailer of the Avengers: Endgame.
“Some people move on, but not us,” said in the ringing voice of Captain America, setting the tone for the upcoming installment of the Avengers franchise. The end of its first part, Infinity War, saw 50% of the world population being wiped out by Thanos, which included prominent heroes like Spider-Man and Nick Fury. Its second part, Endgame, begins with a view of a world that is still mourning over its massive loss, all the while gearing up for the last attempt to bring back all those who have been lost. With Tony Stark sending out final messages to Miss Potts while drifting in space, out of food and water, and surviving on the last dregs of oxygen, Captain America, Black Widow, and Hawkeye are seen preparing for battle with an aim to win at any cost.
Besides letting the audience have a glimpse at the plot of the upcoming film, diehard fans have also been given a glimpse of the Rocket Raccoon outfit. The first trailer for Avengers: Endgame was released last December and hit 200 million views within 24 hours of its launch. It led to wild fan speculations and the rise of improbable theories regarding upcoming events. The latest trailer, for its part, gives an idea of who it may be to bring an end to Thanos’s terror and how far along in the future the events take place.
The Endgame is bringing back most of the original Avengers. It stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man/Tony Stark, Chris Evans as Captain America/Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow/ Natasha Romanoff, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk/Bruce Banner, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man/Scott Lang, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye/Clint Barton, and Karen Gillan as Nebula. Avengers: Endgame shall hit the theatres on 26th April 2019.
Captain Marvel, for its part, is all set to hit the theatres on 8th March, and its trailers have been released, which suggests that Captain Marvel may also have a part to play in the Endgame.
