The BlackBerry Messenger App joins the party of improvements like most other apps in the iOS App Store. Ahmed Bakir, an iOS developer, implemented his keen eye in augmenting the BBM experience and launched the new free jailbreak tweak named BBMEasy in Cydia.
Once you have installed the tweak, visit the BBMEasy preference pane in the Settings, and you can explore the ways to customize your BBM app.
Alongside a standalone kill-switch at the pane top, there are three individual settings cells: Profile and Feeds, Chats Add-ons, and Others Add-ons.
Ahmed said that he would add more features to the BBMEasy in future updates. Making changes to the Settings doesn’t need a respring, but it is recommended that you kill the BBM app from App Switcher and re-launch it every single time changes are made in your BBMEasy preference pane. This will make your settings more effective.
BBMEasy is workable for all the jailbroken iOS 9 and 10 devices, given that those have the free BBM app from App Store installed. The tweak can be found in Cydia’s BigBoss repository for free.
