Blackberry is set to launch its Evolve and Evolve X smartphones in India on August 2. The smartphone manufacturer is already sending out media invites for the event at which these two ‘all screen’ models will be unveiled. Codenamed ‘Ghost’ and ‘Ghost Pro’ respectively, these two handsets are expected to officially hit the stores soon.
Launch Details of BlackBerry Evolve and Evolve X
The event is expected to be hosted by BlackBerry’s Indian licensee, Optiemus, and will start on 2nd August at 11 am. The firm has been issuing press invites for the launch of new Blackberry products, which are expected to be the BlackBerry Evolve and the Evolve X smartphones.
BlackBerry Evolve Specifications and Features
Previously named as BlackBerry Ghost, the BlackBerry Evolve hardware specifications aren’t yet known, but it is probably powered by Snapdragon 660, the same chipset as in Key2. This could mean that the phone could support Quick Charge technology. The phone will have an ‘all screen’ design instead of a physical keyboard.
It might feature an 18:9 aspect ratio, taller display, and slimmer bezels, but it is not yet confirmed. It is expected to come with a dual-camera setup at the back, for better low-light photography, and 4GB of RAM. But the best part of the smartphone will be its large 4000mAh battery.
BlackBerry Evolve X: Specifications, Features
The BlackBerry Evolve X will probably have slightly better features than the Evolve and thus named ‘Ghost Pro’. But, both the models have a 4000mAh battery in common, as well as taller display and slimmer bezels, for an 18:9 aspect ratio. Evolve X is otherwise expected to come with a 6GB RAM, a rear dual-camera setup, and a single front-facing camera. It will be fuelled by a 10nm Snapdragon 710, for better performance and less power consumption. It is to be noted that all these specifications have been based on speculations and are not yet officially confirmed.
