Crypterium, who already has a partnership with Visa, is looking to get into a similar partnership with Apple Pay. The company is striving to achieve an ambitious goal of becoming a “crypto bank” by incorporating payment card services, wallet and bank transfer opportunities.
Crypterium has recently been able to issue global Bitcoin cards which are supported in 178 countries. They can be used at over 50 million retailers, either online, offline, or both. The perks do not end here. The cards have an unprecedented limit set at $13,000 per day.
More importantly, the card can be acquired free of cost and has a negligible monthly fee. If the users actively fund their card, the monthly fee would be returned as cashback.
Crypterium’s CEO Steven Parker’s relentless and smart methods contributed immensely to the development of the cryptocurrency’s ecosystem.
In the past, there had been several companies issuing crypto debit cards, but none of them succeeded in this area for long. Parker’s expertise combined with his knowledge of the crypto market made Crypterium’s new card venture almost invincible.
In a recent interview with Forbes, Parker voiced his concern that rather than trying to replicate the infrastructure of Visa and MasterCard, which could prove to be a tiresome venture, it would make sense for the cryptocurrency community to collaborate on a new venture that comes with the possibility of mass adoption.
Now that the company has been successful with its venture with Visa, Crypterium is continuing on this path by building a partnership with other technology giants; this time with Apple Pay. Apple Pay is a versatile and popular payment method, and a collaboration with it would make the company’s new venture stronger.
This latest collaboration offers its users the choice to choose between a digital card and a virtual card; however, they can also apply forboth and get them. Obtaining a virtual card could be done through a 3D passcode without KYC requirement, and this procedure is for first-time customers only.
The already existing Crypterium users can obtain the virtual Visa card for free of charge. The current limit for the card is set at €5000 daily. They also come with the same tariffs and limits other than cash withdrawals. The card-holders can add their card to Apple Pay and access all of the benefits that it provides.
As the virtual card is recognized globally, it can be used for any type of payment or subscription for online shopping. The company is hoping that in the future the users will be able to add up to 5 cards per user, and the company will be able to integrate the virtual card through Crypterium’s mobile app.
