When Apple TV+ launched in September 2019, the company announced that anyone purchasing the new Apple products, iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV, would get a year-long free trial of its streaming service. After announcing the free trial period, the Cali-based company has extended the validity of the free service again. The users who qualified for the free trial following their purchase of Apple products were offered an additional free trial period of 8 months, bringing the total extension of the free trial to 1 year and 8 months of streaming for absolutely no charge.

But it appears that Apple will no longer extend the free trial period as the company is sending emails to those with an ongoing free trial that their extended trial of the service will expire within a week. The email also contains snippets of the new originals and second seasons of the various shows coming to the streaming service in the coming months.

Apple has stated that starting July 1, the company will begin charging for their Apple TV+ subscription. The subscription for Apple TV+ is set at US $4.99 per month. Teasing the upcoming shows coming to the service, including the second season of The Morning Show and Ted Lasso,

Apple said, “We hope you are enjoying your complimentary access to Apple TV+. Starting July 1, your subscription will automatically renew for $4.99/month. Apple TV+ has the highest-rated originals of any streaming service, and new episodes of these award-winning fan favorites are just around the corner.”

The email also includes a list of new dramas, comedies, kids’ shows, and a few future films coming to the streaming service. Users who are not interested in the subscription can choose to opt out a day before the renewal date begins.
