It has been roughly six months that Ferrari debuted the F8 Tributo, and now Ferrari debuts its drop-top sibling, the F8 Spider. The F8 Spider shares much with the Tributo.
The new Ferrari Spider uses the same twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 engine as the coupe with 711 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque to match the 488 Pista. The V8 is coupled to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Compared to the model it replaces, Ferrari f8 spider is 20 pounds lighter than that. As per specs, Ferrari says the F8 Spider can hit 62 mph in 2.9 seconds and will top out at 211. The F8 Spider comes with a retractable hardtop roof which takes 14 seconds to open and close a function which can be done at the press of a button while on the move top to 45kmh.
Pricing and release date has not been announced for the F8 Spider. But its predecessor, the Ferrari 488 Spider, cost $526,888.
