Since taking over Twitter in October, Elon Musk has been introducing new features to the micro-blogging platform. Twitter blue subscription is the top of all. Likewise, the introduction of gold and silver ticks, reinstating controversial accounts, and many more.

Earlier this year, Twitter’s new boss said that the social media service is working on the task to expand the tweet text limit to 10,000. In a response to a user’s query. This comes following a series of crying out for the increment. Unlike LinkedIn, Facebook, and Reddit, Twitter has a character limit of 280 tweet limit.

However, it seems the platform has finally danced to the tone of users as they increased paid users’ tweet limit to 10,000 characters. As we just confirmed in a tweet from popular tipster Jane Manchun Wong, Twitter has increased its character limit for Twitter Blue subscribers.

Twitter Increases Tweet Limit to 10,000 for Paid Users

Since February, when it allowed them to write tweets with 4,000 characters, Twitter Blue users in the US are no longer restricted to 280 characters on the service. The company has now announced the capability for tweets up to 10,000 characters in length, more than doubling the previous cap.

Additionally, the website now allows for the formatting of text in bold and italics, enabling content producers to employ those components to break up otherwise lengthy blocks of text.

Early in March, over a month after the initial 4,000-character extension, Twitter CEO Elon Musk first revealed that the company was lengthening long-form tweets even further.

10,000 characters may seem excessive to most casual users – it’s around 2,000 words or a decently long essay but Twitter probably instituted the restriction so that anyone who wanted to monetize their tweets could do so.

Introducing A New Way To Engage

Twitter is providing creators new opportunities to engage their followers by raising the character limit for Blue users’ tweets and enabling them to submit “hours-long videos.”

Increasing user engagement also increases the company’s ability to offer users advertisements that will increase revenue. However, Super Follows never really caught on, so it’s unclear how well this version of the subscription service will perform.
