Mozilla focuses a good part of its current development resources on the launch of Firefox 58 the next week, although in parallel, it continues working on the next version of the browser, Firefox 59.
In this way, the users of this proposal that run the Nightly version say that this is already in the 59, so we can see the news that will soon reach the whole world. We must bear in mind that some of the new features are not yet enabled, but there are others that can be very helpful to get an idea of what awaits us in this software.
It is worth mentioning that Firefox 59 will be launched on March 13, 2018, if everything goes according to plan. To start, we will say that the web browser’s own support page offers a lot of information in version 59 since it links to the user profile, shows us if the multiprocess is enabled, and it tells us the most important changes made in the preferences of Firefox. In addition, a new security section has been included in which the same software lists the installed antivirus solution, as well as the antispyware tool and the firewall.
Of course, we will not have any control over these elements from Firefox, but it can be useful in some cases, for example, if certain downloads are blocked or we need to solve a problem related to security and privacy. On the other hand, you already know that Mozilla, by default, deleted the search bar in the toolbar in version 57, although Firefox users can still enable it.
Mozilla is still working on Firefox 59
However, in a few months, Firefox 59 will already show search suggestions in the same address bar, something that will be activated input. This browsing history refers to the open tabs, previous history, and our bookmarks. Of course, we will have control over these preferences given to users to customize the order of new suggestions given.
In this way, the option “Show search suggestions before browsing history in the results of the address bar”, will determine the order of the same, although we can always uncheck this box to return to the previous state.
