It’s been over a year since Firewall: Zero Hour was announced and a few months since it’s available. After their arrival in the virtual reality glasses of PlayStation 4, the owners of Sony devices have been able to enjoy one of the strongest titles in the field, especially for fans of tactical shooters.

Over time, the study has shown that within virtual reality, there may also be room for long-term titles and with constant updating and adding some interesting additions. But soon they will leave us an authentic update of content, the most ambitious to date, which bears the same operation: Nightfall, and now, they have revealed their release date with a new trailer.

Competitive shooter par excellence is undoubtedly PSVR Firewall: Zero Hour, by offering the equivalent of Rainbow Six: Siege, but in virtual reality. However, the title has been providing updates very sporadically, which made us not knowing exactly when to expect a new map or character. This will change as of May 21, since First Contact Entertainment has announced its plan to launch content seasons, starting on 21 May.

This first season will be called Operation: Nightfall, and it will bring us much news. At the content level, the most noteworthy are two new maps, one available from next Tuesday, and another later. The same applies to the characters, which will again be paid (not their abilities), beginning with Ruby (able to steal crypto-currency enemy corpses) and the unknown Lynx. Not to mention new weapons and cosmetic elements.

This season will bring other changes at the structure level, starting with a total change of menu interface, along with improvements in communication, the system for creating private items, etc. The PvE mode will be greatly improved, thanks to an advanced AI replicating human tactics, making these games more intense.

In addition, there will be a new seasonal progression system, temporary challenges, and even a Battle Pass to access the paid content (the characters and unique challenges), which will allow the studio to continue offering more seasons in the future. I hope that the game will stay alive and kicking, as it is key in any multiplayer game, and more so with the small size of the PSVR community compared to traditional users.
