As Fornite enters the third chapter of its second season, Epic Games has announced that the game will soon offer support for the use of purchased V-bucks over multiple platforms. This is good news for players who play the game from different platforms, as the V-bucks wallet will be connected to the PlayStation platform. This update will be added to the 20.40 update which releases today.

V-bucks are a type of in-game currency that players can buy with real money in order to purchase premium customization items such as skins in Fortnite. While the cosmetics and Battle Pass could be shared across all platforms before, the V-bucks that they purchased were only for the platform of Sony, and could not be shared with the PlayStation or the Nintendo Switch platform.

Fortnite players Will be Able to Share their V-Bucks on PlayStation

With the large fan base of the massively popular battle royale game, there is a lot of buzz as to what the new update of 20.40 will contain. Even with more and more battle royale games released recently, the immense popularity of Fortnite has not waned, and the regular content-rich updates are part of the reason why.

The newest addition to the game will no doubt help the players who play on different platforms as now, PlayStation users buying V-Bucks can use them on other platforms that support Fortnite Shared Wallet after this update. This will help them to enjoy their purchased currency irrespective of what system they’re playing on.

What Does the Fornite 20.40 Update Contain?

In addition to this, the new update is bringing the Sideways Showdown Week, where players will be able to experience the return of weapons Sideways Rifle and Sideways Minigun. Fans will not be able to vote between Shield Bubbles and Balloons with the use of their funding stations.

Epic Games is also working on improving the latency on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Low Input Latency has been enabled by default, and players who select “Low Input Latency Mode” can do so in the settings by navigating Settings > Game > Extra Game Options.
