When it comes to foldable smartphones, Samsung is at the forefront of innovation. The latest Galaxy Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 have proven this already. The duo foldable phone lineup packs some impressive features that are sure to delight both power users and casual consumers alike. As a matter of fact, Samsung is currently gearing up for the successor of these folding phones.

In the six months, the mobile giant is expected to introduce new foldable smartphones – the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5. Ahead of the launch date, the features and design of these phones have been revealed. The leaks revealed some information about the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which will have a huge secondary display, as well as some of the specifications of the Galaxy Fold 5. Now, let’s take a tour of the leaks.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Folding Screen Render

As rendered by the SuperRoader leaker, the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s secondary display can be split into two sections. Next to its dual cameras is a tiny display that shows the time, battery life, and AR emoji.

When unfolded, a larger secondary display with a 1:1.038 aspect ratio – almost a square screen – can span the remainder of the phone’s back. Easily interact with widgets, fast settings, and notifications without unlocking your phone. furthermore serves as a superior camera viewfinder.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 has a straight-edge border + rounded corner design, which is another design update. The phone is anticipated to fold entirely flat with no space between the two parts of the smartphone thanks to the speculated teardrop-shaped hinge. The side has fingerprint recognition.

Coming in Narrower Inner Display With Qualcomm Chipset

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 still has an IPX8 water-resistant rating, according to leaker Ice Universe. According to rumors, the phone will have a smaller internal display than the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Ice Universe also hinted at new touchscreen technology for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5. A bigger main camera sensor, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy CPU, greater battery life, and a folding screen with scarcely perceptible creases are among the anticipated features of the phone.

Galaxy Fold 5 and Flip 5 Featured Waterproof in Different Size

Meanwhile, in another render the duo upcoming Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 and Flip 5 are reported to use water drop hinges and support IPX8 waterproofing. The render also confirms that the size of the Fold 5 differs from the size of Fold 4 by only 0.2mm, which can almost be understood as the same size.

Yet after folding, the gap vanishes and gets smaller, bringing the thickness down to 13. x mm. The outside screen is still 6.2 inches and weighs 254g. Since Flip 5’s exterior screen is practically square – 3.4 inches, it will occupy the majority of the space. The screen’s inner border will be smaller.

However, as it stands now, the exact launch of the duo folding device is unknown yet. By our market survey Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 foldable phones sometime in August or September this year, thus, stay connected with TechGenyz for more updates.
