It’s Oct 9, Tuesday, and Google is all set to hold its big “Made by Google” event in New York City. In this event, we expect to hear a few hardware-related announcements of which the highlight will, of course, are the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The big event is set to kick off at 11 am ET (8:30 pm IST) and we will help you bring all the updates regarding the event as it rolls forward.
The Pixel phones are one of the most leaked smartphones in recent history, and it has some of the worst kept secrets this year as tons of reports have pretty much-revealed everything about the phones before the launch.
The Pixel 3 will look a lot similar to the Pixel 2 XL that launched last year. It will bring a tall display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and narrow but symmetrical bezels on the top and bottom. The handset is reported to have options such as ‘Top Shot’, ‘Photobooth’, and ‘Super res zoom’.
For Pixel 3 XL it will join the growing list of smartphones featuring a notch display. Google has already embraced the cutout display with its latest Android Pie update. It will be interesting to see Pixel 3 XL’s notch sport same high-end sensors as Apple’s iPhone XS phones do. The smartphone is expected to come with dual-front cameras and single rear camera. Based on reports and leaks, Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL seems to have a bezel-less screen, front-facing speakers and a more compact form factor.
Expected specifications of the two phone include Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB/128GB built-in storage. While Pixel 3 is said to have 2,900mAh battery, Pixel 3 XL is expected to have 3,400mAh battery.
Along with these Google is also expected to release a range of other products including a new Chromecast, Pixel tablet, and Pixel Buds. To see the formal launch of all these products we certainly need to wait for the event to start. The launch event will be streamed live by Google on its YouTube channel.
