For the past week, Honor India has been on a course to tease for the arrival of Honor 9. The teasers are accompanied by the hashtag #ExploreWithHonor.
Now, we received confirmation from the Honor Smartphone Twitter and Honor India YouTube profiles that its latest phone will launch in India on October 5.
On the other hand, the launch of the Huawei P10 in India is also at the corner. Therefore, this might turn out to be an interesting market competition.
As for Honor 9, starting at 11 am, Taj Exotica in Goa will host the launch event. June this year saw the unveiling of the phone in China. Afterward, it was made available to European countries.
Honor 9 Features
The smartphone showcases a glass rear panel that provides an attractive look. In fact, the appearance of the phone matches the same as the Xiaomi Mi 6.
It is available in multiple colors – Sapphire Blue, Glacier Grey, Blue Bird, Robin Egg Blue, and Midnight Black. Well, the company may not launch all the color variants in India.
In regards to the display, the Honor 9 sports a 5.15-inch screen producing an FHD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Furthermore, it packs a Kirin 960 chipset, runs on the EMUI Android 7.0 Nougat OS, and includes a 3,200mAh battery. The two RAM+storage variants are 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB.
The backside of the phone features a dual camera setup, which includes 12mp and 20mp sensors. Additionally, there is a dual-LED flash as well. Last but not least, the front side has an 8mp selfie camera.
Price and Rivalry
The Honor 8 Pro had a pricing of Rs. 29,999 in the country. Accordingly, its successor may have a price tag of about Rs. 35,000.
Alongside the probable competition with Huawei P10, the latest Honor mobile will have rivalries with the OnePlus 5 and Nokia 8.

The company confirmed that its Honor 7x would have its launch event on October 11 in China. This smartphone already has its entire spec details revealed.
