Huawei sub-brand Honor is ready to unveil its latest innovation in smartphone technology, the Honor Magic 2, while the device is said to be publicized on 31 October, the company itself has exposed a couple of teaser images of the smartphone.
The images shared appear to be of two color variants. As the images showcase the phone is seen to be sporting a triple camera system on the rear, which is quite similar looking to the Huawei P20 Pro. As a matter of fact, the device’s dual-tone Blue and Purple gradient color variant also are also very P20 Pro-like. It also shows the manual camera slider of the phone once again, in a close-up shot.
The photos seem to show that the phone has no bezels on the top with a mechanical slider popping out from behind, housing the selfie camera and other sensors which are presumably for 3D Face recognition. It also shows off a new gradient color design on the back panel alongside the retail box with standard branding. Both Blue and Red color options have been teased.
As for the previous leaks, it has shown an AMOLED display which will mark the first time that the Honor brand has used such a display. Along with the bezel-less design, it also touts to be 1440×2880 pixels resolution at a pixel density of 537 PPI.
It will also come with a 3,400mAh battery supported by Huawei’s 40W SuperCharge technology. The rear camera setup is expected to get a 16-megapixel sensor, a 24-megapixel sensor, and then another 16-megapixel sensor. The phone will come with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box, and arrive with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage.
