As Metaverse continues to change the world’s digital phase, today, the Taiwanese tech giant HTC has officially unveiled the world’s first Metaverse smartphone – The HTC Desire 22 Pro Metaverse 5G.
The new Desire 22 Pro smartphone is primarily designed with Viverse and metaverse capabilities, and it includes a built-in Viverse entrance to the metaverse.
HTC Desire 22 Pro Functions
The most fascinating feature of the device is that it comes with easy-access metaverse functions. The HTC Desire 22 Pro includes a specialized VIVERSE app that allows users to effortlessly access the metaverse. The 300-inch screen may be streamed to the Desire 22 Pro via the user Vive Flow headset.
Likewise, users can also use the Viverse app to create virtual VIVE avatars and manage their digital assets, like NFTs and others, through the VIVE wallet. At the same time, users may also use the Vive Wallet to easily store cryptocurrency and execute transactions.
HTC Desire 22 Pro Specifications
The HTC Desire 22 Pro is equipped with a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ (1080 x 2412 pixel) display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a 20:9 aspect ratio. According to the brand, the huge display will help users immerse themselves in the metaverse when wearing the Vive Flow headset.
The Snapdragon 695 CPU powers the smartphone, which also has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device is only available in an 8GB+128GB variant. It also has an 18-watt battery with a capacity of 4,520mAh and capabilities for wireless and reverses wireless charging.
In addition, the device supports 5G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to broadcast their view from the Vive Flow headset to their phone and explore the metaverse. This HTC phone is also water and dust-resistant, with an IP67 rating.
The panel of the smartphone has a 32MP selfie camera with a side punch-hole, a huge chin, and a triple rear-camera setup, which features a 64MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP depth camera. The device runs Android 12 out of the box.
Pricing
The new Metaverse 5G smartphone was unveiled in two colors – Wave Gold and Starry Night Black for a starting price of NT$11,990 in Taiwan.
