Huawei to Launch Honor 6x Metallic Device With Dual-camera in October

A device from Huawei’s sub-brand Honor gained the TENAA nod of approval in China, known as the Honor 6X. The next low-end handset from Huawei, which follows up on Honor 5X, opens a window as to what it will look like, but not its specifications.

As we know, the Honor 5X packs a 5.5-inch, 1080 x 1920 display powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor. The smartphone comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage, with 2 or 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which can be expanded using a micro SD card. On the camera front, the Honor 5X sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera.

It is rumored that Honor 6X will most likely come with dual-SIM and 4G LTE support. The device is expected to sport Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, and it could actually have USB Type-C ports. Now companies like Apple and Mi are bringing dual-camera handsets and Huawei is no exception. We could know that the upcoming model will feature two primary cameras with a rear fingerprint sensor.

The 6X should include a similarly sized display that will probably retain FHD resolution. Furthermore, Honor 6X could include a Snapdragon 625 SoC and perhaps another gigabyte of RAM if it’s feeling particularly generous.

The device appears to come with a metal body, which would give the mid-ranger a premium feel. Though we are not sure about the actual launch date some report states that the Chinese company might launch the handset on 18th October.
