After months of rumors and leaks, Huawei has finally made the new models of its Nova 6 series official. Despite the blockade imposed by the United States Government, the company’s plans continue, and this is demonstrated today with the launch of not one, not two, but three new terminals that land at the top of its mid-range catalog.
This trio of smartphones comes formed by the Huawei Nova 6, Nova 6 SE and Nova 6 5G, with which Huawei intends to further increase the sales figure of this successful series of devices, which have already sold more than 125 million units in all the world.

The Huawei Nova 6 and Huawei Nova 6 5G are the first mobile phones of the brand to have a screen whose upper hole houses two front cameras, in a way that until now we had only seen in the device such as the Samsung Galaxy S10+.
The model with surname SE, however, is left with a single hole since only the most advanced variants have a double front camera. In any case, all models of the Huawei Nova 6 series arrives with glass and aluminum build, with striking colors and an appearance that follows the visual language of the rest of the brand’s models.
The Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G features a display of 6.57 inches IPS FHD+ display. While the Nova 6 SE features 6.4-inches display. None of them have a fingerprint reader built into the panel, but Huawei is committed to a capacitive sensor located on one side of the phone.
It is difficult to categorize all members of the Nova series within the same range. By its name, we could deduce that the Nova 6 SE would belong to the intermediate segment since it has a Kirin 810 processor, the same that we can find in models such as the Honor 9X. Next to it are 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, in addition to a 4,200 mAh battery with fast charging of 40W.
The Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G case is different because they slip directly into the high-end sector, thanks to its Kirin 990 chipset, the same that gives life to the almighty Huawei Mate 30 Pro. In addition, inside the Huawei Nova 6 5G, we find a Balong 5000 co-processor responsible for the device compatibility with 5G networks.
Both models also arrive with 8 GB of RAM as their little brother, and it is possible to choose them in a version with 128 GB of internal memory. However, the 5G model will also be available with 256 GB of storage and a 100 mAh battery larger than the Huawei Nova 6, 4,200 mAh instead of 4,100.
Finally, all three phones have Android 10 inside, customized by the EMUI 10 customization layer. However, they do not have the Google Play services – although device-oriented for the Chinese market, this should not surprise anyone.
Once again, Huawei is back to versatility with the camera setup on its new device. The Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G share the same configuration, consisting of a 40-megapixel f/1.8 main sensor, accompanied by an 8 Megapixel Ultra Wide sensor, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens capable of generating three magnification optical zoom. All this is accompanied by a laser sensor. Meanwhile, on the front we find a 32-megapixel camera accompanied by another Ultra Wide 8 megapixel sensor capable of capturing a field of view of 105 degrees.
For its part, the Huawei Nova 6 SE – the image model on these lines boasts a quadruple-camera on the back, located in a square module in which we find a 48-megapixel main camera, next to a wide-angle lens of 8 megapixels and two macro and depth sensors of 2 megapixels each.
Huawei Nova 6 5G has a price of 3799 CNY (Rs. 39,000 approximately) in its configuration of 8/128 GB, while the 256 GB model is priced at 4199 CNY (Rs. 43,000 approximately). Huawei Nova 6 with 8GB + 128 GB will sell for 3199 CNY (Rs. 33,000 approximately). And finally, the Huawei Nova 6 SE is priced at approximately 2199 CNY (Rs. 23,000).
