Huawei’s latest smartwatch, the Huawei Watch 2 2018, has been released in China. There are two models, one with the eSIM and the other with only Bluetooth.
The smartwatch features a double crown design and bears shortcut keys to access sports, quick exercise selections, and the setting up of quick custom launch. Its integrated GPS and Beidou dual positioning support help users to track maps.
Huawei Watch 2 2018 contains various exercise models and allows for real-time continuous heart rate monitoring. The training plan and FIRST BEAT motion tracking algorithm are helpful enough for users in sports activities.
Huawei’s TruSleep technology for the Watch 2 Series has the capability to accurately monitor sleep stages such as deep sleep, light sleep, REM, and walking at night. There’s a science sleep quality assessment score for understanding the causes of poor sleep. It also provides CDB from the Harvard Medical School Center for personalized suggestions to improve sleep.
Watch 2 2018 supports Huawei Pay, AliPay, and WeChat payments. It is IP68 certified for being water and dust-resistant. The display is 1.2-inch AMOLED supporting 390 x 390 pixels and 326ppi pixel density.
The smartwatch is powered by Snapdragon 2100 quad-core processor coupled with 768MB RAM and 4GB internal. It runs the Android Wear OS and carries a typical 420mAh battery, providing about one and a half days of usage in the typical working scenario.
Watch 2 is available in the color options: Vibrant Orange, Star Grey, and Carbon Black. The Bluetooth model is priced at approximately 1,538 yuan or US$ 240 or Rs. 16,210. Its eSIM model costs approximately 1,988 Yuan or US$ 310 or Rs. 20,950.
