The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei recently announced that the Huawei Mate X2 will finally launch on February 22. On Monday a Weibo user claimed the same; the Weibo post also mentioned that the new offering from the company will be a smartphone with a foldable display.
The upcoming smartphone, Huawei Mate X2 will join the league of Huawei Mate X which was launched in 2019. The Mate Xs was launched last year, and featured a foldable display with an out-folding design. Several sources claimed that the new Huawei phone will be sporting an in-folding design. This seems to be the case for Mate X2 as the launch poster suggests that the smartphone will arrive with an in-folding design. Undoubtedly, the smartphone’s overall design will differ from that of the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
As per a few sources, the Mate X2 could come with a foldable screen of 6.45-inches which will support a resolution of 2270 x 1160 pixels. The display screen will be packed with a 90Hz refresh rate. Moreover, under the hood, the smartphone features Kirin 9000 5G.
Huawei Mate X2 Camera
Following the latest trend with the number of phone cameras, Huawei has also decided to include 5 cameras mounted on the backside of the phone. The camera setup consists of a 16 MP main shooter, 50 MP primary camera, a 16 MP lens, and a 12 MP snapper along with an 8 MP sensor. As for the selfie camera, it is 16 MP. Some sources even claim that the upcoming smartphone may also arrive with the support for 10x hybrid zoom. The smartphone comes with a 4000mAh battery and will function with the Android 10. The Huawei Mate X2 tipped to be a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that will accept Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.
Huawei announced that the smartphone will go on sale on February 22.
