Today, January 23, Instagram introduced the GIF stickers in its app for the users to make their respective stories more expressive. We are already familiar with the GIFs in other social media like Facebook etc., but one such popular platform like Instagram was yet to have this inclusion until now.
The expressive Instagram GIF stickers can be added to the app’s photos and videos of your stories. While tapping to add a sticker, you will come across a new Instagram GIF option from now onwards. Tapping on the option will lead you to the library of the moving Instagram stickers, powered by GIPHY.
You can either choose the currently trending section or browse through the extensive collection. The lot includes the likes of bouncing letters, twirling hearts, dancing cats, pizza in space, and loads more.
Instagram will further bring the ability to upload content (photos and videos) of any size that can be added to your story. This will ensure users to be able to cover frames expansively. The content can be shared in its original dimensions, irrespective of its form (square, landscape, or portrait). The extra room will be filled with a custom color relevant to your shared content.
The new Instagram GIF stickers are available with Instagram’s version 29 on both Android and iOS.
