Indian smartphone manufacturer Intex has added a new phone to its Aqua series, Aqua Air, with a 5-inch display to be available in sub-Rs. 5,000 categories. The company earlier this month unveiled two new Intex smartphones, the Aqua 3G NS and Aqua Wave, priced at Rs. 3,190 and Rs. 2,949, respectively.
This third new phone is now listed on the Intex website with specifications and details. Though Intex has not mentioned information about availability, it is expected the smartphone will be showcased in Indian retail stores soon. Intex Aqua Air comes with a 5-inch IPS display supporting the 854×480 resolution.
The handset is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MTK6572W processor packed with 512MB RAM and Mali 400 MP GPU. The smartphone includes 8GB of internal memory and can be expanded up to 32 GB via a microSD card. On the camera part, the device gives you a 2 MP rear camera with LED flash and a front-facing 0.3 MP VGA camera supported by face detection technology.
The Aqua Air supports dual-sim features, both 2G and 3G, and runs on Android KitKat 4.4 operating system. The smartphone is powered by a 2300mAh, Li-ion battery with 8.5 hours of talk time and 300 Hours of Standby Time. Users will also get modern connectivity options clubbed with the phone – this includes 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi with Tethering and Portable Hotspot functionality with Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS functionality.
Intex Aqua Air measures 145.5×72.8x10mm and weighs 151 grams. The device will be available in four variant colors – Black, Champagne, Grey, and White.
