iQOO India’s Country Director Gagan Arora mentioned at the start of this year that the company will launch a series of smartphones in India and the pricing of those mobiles will also vary. A few weeks ago rumors regarding the launch of a certain iQOO smartphone that will run on a Snapdragon 870 chipset came up.
Whereas there are multiple sources that claim that the handset could be a rebranded version of what was launched in China under the name iQOO Neo5, the Bureau of Indian Standards has certified that the iQOO U1x smartphone will also launch in India. New information and a few tweets from reliable sources point out that the iQOO Z3 5G is likely to launch in the Indian market.
Earlier in 2021, an iQOO phone bearing the model number I2011 was certified by the BIS agency. The iQOO Z3 5G smartphone had been introduced in China at the end of March. It is expected that the smartphone will sport a 6.5-inch LCD FHD display that will offer a refresh rate of 120Hz. The front display is supposed to feature a waterdrop notch. Moreover, the smartphone will run on iQOO UI 1.0 based on Android 11 OS. Under the hood, the smartphone will run on Snapdragon 768G chipset.
On its back, the smartphone will come equipped with a triple camera setup that consists of a 64MP main shooter, an 8MP lens, and a 2MP lens. The front camera which is housed inside the waterdrop notch is 16MP. Moreover, the iQOO Z3 5G smartphone comes with a 4,400mAh battery that supports 55W fast charging. The side of the camera features a fingerprint scanner. The Snapdragon 768G chipset fuels the iQOO Z3 5G with up to LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The new iQOO Z3 5G smartphone will come in three memory variants: 6GB+ 128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+ 256GB that are likely to be priced at approximately INR. 18,000, INR. 19,000, and INR. 22,000, respectively.
