Just three months ago, Vivo surprised with the first mobile of its sub-brand iQOO designed especially for video games and that came with the same name without further additives. Now, it is the turn of the iQOO Neo, the second phone of the brand that is still focused on the gamer world, but one step down in terms of specifications.
Thus, the most affordable model of iQOO goes to integrate a Snapdragon 845 processor, somewhat inferior to the Vivo iQOO that came with a Snapdragon 855. Of course, the performance and, above all, the temperature of the device is ensured thanks to its cooling system dedicated.
The iQOO Neo arrives with an AMOLED screen of 6.38 inches with FullHD+ resolution (1080 x 2340), under which the fingerprint sensor is located. With a 19.5: 9 ratio, the screen-body ratio reaches 90% and, proof of this, is that the mobile stretches the side frames well, although the same does not occur in the lower area, where it is much more visible. For the upper part, the notch with the shape of a drop that shelters the front camera is reserved.
The smartphone comes in black and purple gradient colors, if we turn it we find the module of the camera in a vertical position, which gives shelter to the three sensors and the LED flash. Nothing else in this area beyond the mark because, as we said, the sensor goes to the front.
In the photographic section, the mobile bets on a triple camera configuration, with a main sensor of 12 MP, a wide angle of 8 MP and a depth sensor of 2 MP , a resolution that at first sight seems like something basic, about all taking into account that the 48 MP sensors start to be very frequent. It is clear that the iQOO Neo prefers to focus on other aspects, without forgetting, of course, the cameras. For its part, the front camera remains at 12 MP.
The performance of the Neo iQOO is the responsibility of the Snapdragon 845 processor, thus decreasing with respect to the iQOO that mounted a Snapdragon 855. It comes accompanied with different options of RAM and internal storage. Thus, in the first case, we can choose between 6 or 8 GB of RAM, while the memory varies between 64 and 128 GB.
If the iQOO Neo is for something, it is undoubtedly for play, and therefore has a dedicated cooling system consisting of two multilayer graphite slates that interspersed a steam chamber and an aluminum piece. According to the manufacturer, the phone can reach temperatures three degrees below other phones that also make up the Snapdragon 845.
The phone also has improvements related to performance, such as AI Turbo, Turbo Center, Turbo Net or Cooling Turbo. With a 4,500 mAh battery with 22.5W Flash Charge, it seems that autonomy will not be a problem, at least on paper. In fact, it is capable of reaching 50% of the load in just 30 minutes. As for the rest of the specifications, Android 9 Pie stands out with Funtouch OS 9 as the operating system,
The IQOO Neo comes in the black and purple colors with two options of RAM of 6 or 8 GB and other so many of internal memory, with 64 or 128 GB. Depending on the option chosen, the prices are as follows:
- IQOO Neo of 6 GB of RAM with 64 GB of memory: 1798 yuan
- IQOO Neo of 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of memory: 1998 yuan
- IQOO Neo of 8 GB of RAM with 64 GB of memory: 2098 yuan
- IQOO Neo of 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of memory: 2,298 yuan
The mobile can be purchased already on the website of the manufacturer, although shipments will be made from July 8. At the moment it is available in the Chinese market and it is unknown if it will cross the borders of the Asian country. We will be attentive to this information to update the post as soon as it is available.
