Lenovo’s first Daydream standalone VR headset, Lenovo Mirage Solo puts everything you need in a single device. It doesn’t need a smartphone or an external sensor, you just need to put it on and you are set for the VR experience. The company has also unveiled its Lenovo Mirage camera that uses Google’s VR180 format.

It also features WorldSense, a powerful new technology that enables PC-quality positional tracking on a mobile device, without the need for any additional sensors. With it, you can duck, dodge and lean, step backward, forward or side-to-side. All of this makes for a more natural and immersive experience, so you really feel like you’re there – Clay Bavor, Vice president, Google AR and VR

The headset made with much comfort has a wide field of view and an advanced display that’s optimized for VR. The Lenovo Mirage Solo is based on Google’s Daydream VR platform, allowing any of the 350 games and apps developed for Daydream work on the headset. The Lenovo Mirage Solo uses what is known as inside-out tracking: Two cameras on the device track the room, making it possible for users to lean into VR experiences.

In the Daydream library, there are tons to see and do. There are new games and more than 70 of these titles make use of the technology, including Blade Runner: Revelations and others. And so there is something for everyone to experience.

Lenovo’s another VR product is the VR 180 which essentially displays like a regular video when a viewer is in a browser but allows anyone viewing it with a headset to look around and also watch content in 3D. “with support for VR180 built into Google Photos, you can easily share moments with your friends and family”. The headset costs $400, while the camera is $300.
