Chinese-based multi-tech giant Lenovo is famous for manufacturing gaming laptops and brings nearly every game sleekly on the ultra-reflective matte screen; on November 8, today, according to IT House, a new Lenovo gamebook code-named “LENOVO 82S9” appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, the new gamebook is wrapped up with Intel’s forthcoming 12-generation Core mobile high-performance processor i9-12900HK.
When it comes to running points, the new i9-12900HK has a single-core score of 1751 and a multi-core score of 6438. Which is comparatively low compared to its predecessor versions; the trial test indeed ran on test hardware to expect the actual performance of the chip in the upcoming days. As far as parameters are concerned, the new Intel i9-12900HK adopts large and small core design, the core design features 14 cores and 20 thread specifications, and the core specifications include six large cores and eight small cores; when it comes to the frequency, the central frequency can reach up to 2.89GHz, the turbo frequency can touch 4.88GHz, and 24MB L3 cache.
In addition, the new Lenovo “LENOVO 82S9” adopts DDR4-3200 memory instead of the latest DDR5 memory. DDR5 was brought into the market to reduce power consumption compared to its forerunner. The DDR5 power consumption is low, and also the DDR5 comes with doubling bandwidth; we would say that “LENOVO 82S9” uses DDR4-3200 memory because the high latency brought by DDR5 will have some unpropitious effects on the number of game frames.
Furthermore, semiconductor manufacturer Intel exposed some critical specifications of the Alder Lake series of mobile processors during the Architecture Day event. Let’s take a look into it; the new Alder Lake-P mobile processors will be equipped with up to 6 Golden Cove performance cores + 8 Gracemont energy efficiency cores and a total of 20 threads. Alder Lake-P mobile processors is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2022.
